Tulane University is Hiring a Financial Services Associate Near New Orleans, LA
- Working knowledge and proficient use of standard computer-based spreadsheets and databases, including Microsoft Office software applications.
- Ability to prepare basic financial statements and reports; ability to accurately review and analyze financial information.
- Ability to accurately enter financial data into appropriate ledgers, journals, and/or databases.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn Tulane's accounting system, and other related financial reporting software applications, including established policies and procedures.
- Ability to take direction and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.Required Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years' bookkeeping/accounting experience, including one (1) year general office administration experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with budget management and purchasing.
- Experience with timecard management or payroll systems.
- Experience with travel management and expense reporting.
